What a wonderful day to be alive!
I mean, just look at this. Today is a double birthday, both of our President (and who knew I could like a living president so much, but here we are) and the 250th of our Armed Forces, without which we quite literally would not exist.
And about 50 hours ago, Israel became, once again, THE nation to (thus far, stunningly successfully) take on a genocidal Islamist terror regime, several hundred times Israel's size, namely Iran. And considering that Iran's (quite explicitly stated) goals are to rule the world, annihilate Western Civilization, and exterminate every last human being on the planet who will not convert to Islam at nuke-point, I would say that this is long overdue, and one hell of a win for the good guys.
Yes, I know that thousand-year Reichs, megalomaniacal desires to rule the whole world, and the idea that it's just fine to exterminate whole populations unwilling to worship oneself, are generally assumed to be a thing of past. Among civilized people. Newsflash: Iran? Has not reached that developmental level in human decency, nor has any other Islamist regime for that matter.
To wit (from the Iranian Constitution, a matter of public record):
" The Constitution of The Islamic Republic of Iran General Text (Approved on 1979, Amended on 1989):
The plan of the Islamic government as proposed by Imam Khumayni produced a new ... path of Islamic ideological struggle...
... for ensuring the continuation of the Revolution at home and abroad. In particular, in the development of international relations, the Constitution will strive with other Islamic and Leftist movements to prepare the way for the formation of a single world community (in accordance with the Koranic verse "This your community is a single community, and I am your Lord, so worship Me" [21:92]),
An Ideological Army
In the formation and equipping of the country's military, due attention must be paid to faith and ideology as the basic criteria. Accordingly, the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps are to be organized in conformity with this goal, and they will be responsible not only for guarding and preserving the frontiers of the country, but also for fulfilling the ideological mission of jihad in Allah's way; that is, extending the sovereignty of Sharia throughout the world (this is in accordance with the Koranic verse "Prepare against them all the force you are able to muster, and strings of horses, striking terror into the enemy of God and your enemy, and others besides them" [8:60])."
"CONSTITUTION OF THE
REVOLUTIONARY GUARDS [IRGC]
15'6'1361 [September 7, 1982]
Article 1: The Revolutionary Guards is an institution under the Leader’s supreme command. Its goal is to protect Iran’s Islamic Revolution and its achievements and persistently struggle to achieve the divine aims, spread the rule of the Sharia in accordance with the Islamic Republic of Iran's charter...
Article 34: The Conditions of the Revolutionary Guard. Someone is called a Revolutionary Guard who has entered the Revolutionary Guards, and considers an all-sided jihad for the sake of God and to strengthen the Islamic Revolution and its achievements as a duty under the sharia..."
" Allah will grant such power to His Shiites and to His Muslims, because when the Hidden Imam arrives, everybody will have to convert to Islam under its banner or die." - Iranian regime cleric cleric Ebad Mohammadtabar, September 7, 2019 sermon aired on State-controlled Iranian TV [https://www.memri.org/tv/iranian-cleric-mohammadtabar-hidden-imam-jews-world-convert-defeat-confront-zionism]
" Iran is a country that is proud of its history and more importantly, it is proud of its future. According to the tradition, after the appearance [of the Hidden Imam], the rulers of the entire world will be the Iranians. We do not conceal this. We are the people of the Hidden Imam... the Iranians will be the masters of the world. The Yemenis love the Iranians. The Iraqis, the Syrians, the Lebanese – they are all proud of Iran.... It is only natural that the waning Western civilization will make any futile effort to confront us. It is only natural. It is only natural that this civilization will try to postpone its demise. When confronting us, they have no choice but to be annihilated." - Alireza Panahian, Iranian scholar and rather noxious regime-affiliated strategist, in state-sponsored public address, on October 6, 2022 public address, or course aired on the regime's state-controlled TV. Now, as for those who would claim that Israel's taking action (as opposed to just waiting passively to be nuked to extinction) is going to "destabilize the Middle East", guys, gals and all you who define yourselves as "other": To DEstabilize something, by definition. it has to be first stable.
Well, lets see. The present Iran situation does not start with Israel. It started in the 1970s when the self-proclaimed Ayatollah ("sign" of Allah) Khomeini, a radical Islamist to the core, nestled safe in the arms of French Liberals exported to Iran his own brand of fanaticism, recorded on cassette tapes that said French Liberals helped him smuggle into Iran.
" In Khomeini’s own words, “the French government was .... kind to us and we could publicize our views extensively, much more so than we expected.” In return, he was utterly indifferent to France and scorned its culture as that of the "Infidel Franks"
....French President Giscard sent his Head of Intelligence, Comte Alexandre de Marenches to Tehran to lay down France's position to the Shah: Khomenei was under French protection and France would take an extremely dim view of any forceful attempt by Tehran to crack down on Khomeini's incitement or movement in Iran.....
In just four months in France, Khomeini received over one hundred thousand visits from his followers and fans that brought him over £20 million, much of it in cash....And according to Muhammad Hassanein Heikal, the Egyptian journalist and confidant to the Egyptian president Nasser, the French gendarmes had handed the Ayatollah's body-guards permits for weapons, including two machine-guns. They also turned a blind eye to the PLO trafficking a lot more machine guns and even explosives to Khomeini's compound in France.
....But it was the use of French communications more than anything else that helped to topple the Shah and bring Khomeini to power. The local post office put at Khomeini’s sole disposal two telexes and six telephone lines, enabling him to issue instructions and manipulate violence while himself remaining safely beyond the Shah’s reach, allowing the exiled extremist cleric to incite a rebellion, contrary to all international laws and norms governing political refugees.
..... on February 1 1979, Khomeini himself was flying from Paris to Tehran on an Air France charter plane..... Declaring himself the Supreme Leader of Iran, the Ayatollah immediately repudiated the freedoms he had so often promised in interviews and broadcasts in France. One of his disciples there, his “spiritual son,” Hasan Bani Sadr quoted Khomeini as saying, “In Paris, I found it opportune to say what I said. In Iran, I find it opportune to deny it, and I deny it, quite frankly." And not only did he refuse to deliver any of the freedoms he had promised, he removed those that Iranians - and Iranian women especially - already had." [See: "Betrayal: France, the Arabs, and the Jews". By David Pryce-Jones]
Western Liberals including Amnesty International aided and abetted the rise of the fanatical Ayatollah. Not Israel, which enjoyed extremely close relations with the Shah's government and during his reign could count on the wealthy and powerful Iran as a friend and ally - as could we. (e.g. when Israeli special forces flew 3000 miles to Entebbe airport in a daring night raid to save almost 200 civilian hostages about to be murdered by jihadist terrorists, an operation in with the brother of the present Israeli PM fell, the Shah publicly congratulated Israel for her daring strike against terrorism, and Iran backed Israel at the UN). But the Shah's intelligence services, the SAVAK, were a menace - not to women without hijabs as is the norm in Iran today, but to fanatical megalomaniacs like the mullahs now ruling Iran. And Amnesty International chose its side and began an extensive propaganda campaign designed to make the Shah a pariah among Western nations, and cover up the crimes of radical Islam lest actions of both parties be compared in a fair light, under which any rational person would agree that Iranians - and the world - were better off when the Shah ruled Iran and the only people who fears him were the jihadists. The whole sordid story is recorded in "The Fall of Heaven: The Pahlavis and the Final Days of Imperial Iran" by Andrew Scott Cooper
And then Amnesty International and the French Liberals held their tongues as the Ayatollah unleashed a reign of terror upon Iranians that the Shah's SAVAK could never have dreamed of. It was the Ayatollah who made Iran into an Islamist hellhole where girls are imprisoned, tortured, raped, and ultimately executed *for the "crime" of having been raped* - like this girl here: https://x.com/visegrad24/status/1792839843413737914 where children are used as literal cannon fodder, and whose raison d'être is the annihilation of the majority of human beings on this planet (not being Muslim or wanting to bow to a new fanatical dictator).
Seeing Iran in chaos, Saddam Hussein (who fancied himself the new Nebuchadnezzar - you might remember him swallowing Kuwait whole) invaded Iran to add it to his empire. Iran repelled the invasion, and then decided that conquering Iraq would be a nice way to start its empire. After the cost of millions of lives, they managed to get back to roughly the same borders. Each one of these invasions was, basically, a simple desire for conquest, and for starting up one's own empire.
In these years of war, Iran contributed a, shall we say, novel(?) combat doctrine to the annals of warfare: Trying to invade an Iraq ringed with minefields, Facing a military debacle in the form of dense Iraqi minefields protecting Iraqi soil and Iraqi armor which proved far more effective at defense than invasion, Khomeini found a novel solution, even by the already bloody standards of the war: He imported from Taiwan half a million small aluminum keys. Then he rounded up hundreds of thousands of Iranian schoolchildren and gave them a key apiece, telling them that they were the keys to the gates of paradise. And then he ordered - and in some cases forced - the schoolchildren to walk, many times, completely unarmed - always with no protective gear or mine-clearing equipment, with just those trinkets around their necks and Islamist graffiti scrawled on their clothes - shoulder to shoulder over the Iraqi minefields to detonate the mines along the vast Iran/Iraq border ahead of his tanks. Yes, you read that right.
Even the New York Times, a consistent apologist for the regime reported on February 12, 1988:
"THEIR TICKET TO PARADISE IS the blood-red headband and the small metal key that they wear into battle. ''Sar Allah,'' (''Warriors of God''), some of the headbands read in Farsi script, identifying the wearers as divinely designated martyrs who will use their keys to go directly to heaven if killed in the holy war against Iraq declared by their leader, the Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini. The headbands and the keys are worn by young boys, aged 12 to 17, who are recruited by local clergy or simply rounded up in the villages of Iran, given an intensive indoctrination in the Shiite tradition of martyrdom, and then sent weaponless into battle against Iraqi armor. Often bound together in groups of 20 by ropes to prevent the fainthearted from deserting, they hurl themselves on barbed wire or march into Iraqi mine fields in the face of withering machine-gun fire to clear the way for Iranian tanks. Across the back of their khaki-colored shirts is stenciled the slogan: ''I have the special permission of the Imam to enter heaven.''
"The Iranian response [to Iraqi armor and mines protecting Iraq] was to send small children—because children are numerous, portable, and expendable—running, tripping into the minefields to detonate the bombs with their tiny feet, to be blown to pieces." - Theroux, Paul. Ghost Train to the Eastern Star: 28,000 Miles in Search of the Railway Bazaar
In 1987, six years after Iran had invaded Iraq to annex the whole country, the head of the Ayatollah's "war affairs staff" in the education ministry bragged to world media that more than 95 percent of the 7th grade students, the 12- and 13-year-olds, of the country were about to be deployed to the front lines.

This is the Iran that Western Liberals helped to bring into being by turning our backs on the Shah (under the excuse of "human rights"): An Islamist hellhole with no respect for decency, human rights, or international law, and further, a hellhole hell-bent on exporting its system to the entire world, starting by stoking bloodshed in the Middle East.
Lest anyone say this is old history, I would point out that in just the past decade alone, under the late IRGC head, one Mr. Salami (who is finally well smoked, good riddance), Iran has armed and equipped Shiite militias in Iraq that have made Iraq a de-facto province of Iran (they of course slaughter Yazidis, Sunnis, Kurds, etc for the fun of it in their spare time), it equipped Assad in his ongoing slaughter of Syrians (net body count around half a million people, mostly civilians, in a war that Assad started by torturing to death a bunch of teenagers over graffiti), it armed Hizbullah in Lebanon to basically turn the already dysfunctional state into another Iranian client state, sspiraning into hunger and debt as all Lebanon's resources are being hijacked to "export the revolution", it provided the Shahed (lit. "martyr") 136 drones to the Houthis to use against Saudi Arabia and international civilian vessels, and the same to Russia to use against Ukraine, it attacked Saudi Arabia directly at least once, and attacked ships in the Gulf of Oman using mines and then kamikaze drones, It has used its tentacles to repeatedly attack our boys in Iraq, as well as bombarding Kurdish areas of Iraq with missiles, it even blew up enemies of its regime as far away as Pakistan, and of course.... of course, it armed, equipped, and greenlit Hamas to murder over 1200 innocent people, among them 67 of our fellow Americans, on Oct 27th 2023, when Gaza invaded Israel, with several thousand "innocent Gazan civilians" following the Hamas terrorists and gleefully participating in the orgy of murders and several thousand more gang-rapes and mutilations of innocent Israeli - and other civilians, and the kidnapping of over 200 (mostly civilian) hostages who they have continued to use as slaves, rape, torture, and ultimately murder. This mouthful, of course is a tiny fraction of Iran's recent malfeasance.
And of course, as we speak, and having NOTHING to do with Israel, we have the Taliban getting back to stoning women in Afghanistan for trying to go to school, We've got the Houthis - like all Islamists still stuck in the 7th century - reliving the glory days of Islam: piracy (and where, oh where, is a Thomas Jefferson to stop this madness?), we've got Turkey slaughtering the Kurds in Syria, we've got ISIS showing up and trying to form its ridiculous pre-medieval caliphate, slaughtering Christians, Jews, Yazidis, etc, as far away as Ethiopia, and drinking their blood, like this charming "Palestinian" fellow here (https://english.alarabiya.net/News/middle-east/2014/09/17/-We-love-drinking-blood-says-ISIS-vampire-), we have the ongoing raiding, capture, and sale of Black people as slaves in the Islamic world, we have Boko Haram slaughtering Christians in Africa in what is amounting to a quiet genocide, and this is a tiny fraction of what is going on in the Middle East and North Africa (and every other place that Islam has added to the "Dar-al-Islam" = House of Islam, including some cities in mainland Europe at this point).
And none of this is a surprise to those who actual have taken the time to study the Islamic world whose citizens don't look at loyalty to their country, they look at loyalty to Allah and his global jihad, and they look at loyalty to their particular family or tribal group, and everything else is quite negotiable, which is why the Middle East is a kettle of hell that never stops simmering. And also why basically everybody who wasn't a Muslim Arab has been exterminated, or lives under a state of siege, like the Israelis do, and like the handful of Christians left in Lebanon do.
Is this your definition of stability? I dearly hope not!
But of course, you might confound me once again. After all, the Muslim world hangs gays from cranes, Gaza when left to its devices being a paragon of this behavior (and no, it's not "the occupation", if it was, why does Iran do it too?) but we daily see marches of "Gays for Gaza". Not *to* Gaza, you might note. At least they are not suicidal.
Now, as to the worrying that hitting Iran is going to heat things up temporarily, well, yeah, in the interim, we might see some pretty ugly stuff unfold. I mean, after all, when the police go in to clean up a criminal gang that has been terrorizing the neighborhood, there's going to be a lot of shooting in the short run, and things are going to get a lot hotter. But in the long run, everybody's going to breathe a sigh of relief.
And when you count the fact that a good amount of this chaos has been instigated, or funded, or assisted by Iran, through its terror networks, when you count the fact that Iran's tentacles don't only reach to the Middle East, I mean, they are here: Iran has been trying to assassinate our President, I would say the sooner the Iranian regime is crippled, if not destroyed, the better for the whole world.
Now, of course, one could bemoan that American will be dragged into this, and to those who do, I ask you: 1) are you in the habit of telling your friends and allies "sit and let yourself be murdered so I can have peace of mind"? Because that has never been the American way, or the way of any other courageous and moral nation. (Yes, I am looking at you, Greece and Cyprus who so quickly forget the 3+1 alliance, and so quickly push Israel to give her legitimate land to the faux-Palestinians for a poison-pill-two-state-solution when you would not commit the same travesty in Cyprus)
And 2) Dragged into?
Let's start with 1: Obviously, now, Israel's operation against Iran was absolutely necessary, since Iran's stated goal is to annihilate all of Israel (and note, my dear lovers of the so-called "Palestinians" that the Iranians don't care if they annihilate said so-called "Palestinians" in the process, look at a map), and then all of Western civilization, and ultimately all non-Muslims, and rule the world, as their own charter and rhetoric makes quite clear.
Obviously, Israel was right to do something about this fanatical menace, and to do something about it before Iran achieved a nuclear breakthrough and would be able to blackmail the world or start killing us infidels on a massive scale. After all, I should hardly need to point out that Iran doesn't need ICBMs to reach Israel, they're right next door (much to Israel's eternal regret). Iran is making those ICBMs to reach us. And this fact brings me to #2: the allegation that America is going to get drawn into a war that we didn't choose.
A tendency to catastrophize aside (if the Ayatollah has any brains in his skull, he will stay far away from any American assets and personnel because he knows that only we can MOP up his precious Fordow into smoking ruin), I ought to remind you that one doesn't always get to choose their wars. There is no preventing a war of some kind (shadow, cold, or hot) with a regime hell-bent on annihilating you.
Iran chose this war. Its regime declared, that its reason to exist is to destroy the West, and chief public enemy number one for them is the USA, which they call the Great Satan.
And it's not because we (sometimes) support Israel. It is because we exist.
Iran is after all of Western civilization, and it wants a world hegemony. And as our ambassador to Israel said, America is the entree, Israel is the appetizer (albeit one that Iran just found out is much too spiny to chew up - and if we are to strike wi ought to while Iran's maw is bleeding). So no, we didn't choose this war and neither did Israel, Iran did back in 1979 (and the one opportunity we had to avoid it then, by wholeheartedly backing the Shah, our foolish Leftist government - pushed to greated extremes of stupidity by French progressives, Leftists in our press, and Amnesty international- squandered). Sticking our heads in the sand and wishing the Iranian Menace will simply forget its raison d'être is idiotic, and suicidal.
Short of Israel annihilating the regime of the Mullahs, root and branch - if such a thing is possible - the war is coming. Letting our implacable enemies aquire nuclear weapons is simply unacceptable. President Trump is right about that. And so I agree with Senator Graham (the closest to a Thomas Jefferson that our day has produced, to those who have bothered to study the great American leader) who said that if Iran still refuses to hand over its WMD materials the coming final and un-extendable deadline, we should step in and help Israel finish the job of wiping out Fordow and any other facilities needing a MOP- at a bare minimum. It would be out safest easiest operation ever, because by the time the Israeli Air Force and the incomparable Mossad are done taking care of Iran's defensive and offensive capabilities, Iran will be as ripe for the picking as a roasted Thanksgiving turkey.
Of course, in a larger sense, as long as the Iranian regime, and the jihadist mentality fueling it, exists, America will never be off their target list. The West will never be off their target list, Christianity and Judaism and every non-Muslim religion and every non-Islamic people will never be off their target list.
And so it is not a question of IF the war will come, it is a question of when and who gets to choose the battleground: Iran and its terrorist proxies or us and our allies.
In the words of the great Patrick Henry, the Voice of the American Revolution:
"These are the implements of war and subjugation… what means this martial array, if its purpose be not to force us to submission? .... Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance by lying supinely on our backs and hugging the delusive phantom of hope, until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot? Sir, we are not weak if we make a proper use of those means which the God of nature hath placed in our power. The millions of people, armed in the holy cause of liberty, and in such a country as that which we possess, are invincible by any force which our enemy can send against us.... The war is inevitable--and let it come! I repeat it, sir, let it come. It is in vain, sir, to extenuate the matter. Gentlemen may cry, Peace, Peace-- but there is no peace. The war is actually begun!"
